The 2nd International Symposium on “Women in the Turkic World: Economic Transformation and Development,” organized by Düzce University on April 13–14, 2026, aims to address the changing socio-economic positions of women in the Turkic world from an interdisciplinary perspective. The second meeting of this symposium, the first of which was held with great interest and academic contribution, aims to discuss the role of women in economic development, public policies, entrepreneurship, academia, and sustainable transformation processes in a more comprehensive and comparative framework. In this regard, it aims to create a critical and multidimensional academic ground on development, leadership, and structural transformation by bringing together distinguished academics, successful businesswomen, and influential female politicians. The symposium will evaluate the gains achieved and the structural problems encountered in the Turkish world from an analytical and comparative perspective, focusing on the decisive role of women in the relationship between economic modernization and social progress. In this regard, the event aims not only to contribute to academic literature but also to institutionally support the development of international networks and sustainable collaborations that will empower women in the Turkic world.
